Build It. Start It. Watch a Real Twin-Cylinder Engine Come to Life.
The ENGINEKITOR F2 is a real working 7.5cc inline twin-cylinder, 4-stroke gasoline engine model kit designed for builders who want more than a static display model.
Featuring an SOHC valve train, circulating water cooling, CDI electronic ignition and an electric starting system, the F2 gives you the opportunity to assemble, understand, start and explore a genuine miniature internal combustion engine.
The ENGINEKITOR F2 reproduces the essential mechanical systems of a full-size four-stroke internal combustion engine on a compact scale.
Inside the engine, two pistons, connecting rods, a crankshaft, camshaft and valves work together through the complete four-stroke cycle:
Intake → Compression → Power → Exhaust
Once correctly assembled and connected to the required fuel, ignition and cooling systems, the engine can actually start and run.
You are not simply assembling parts that imitate an engine. The F2 is designed to let you build and operate a real miniature internal combustion engine.
The F2 uses two 3.75cc cylinders for a total displacement of 7.5cc.
Its inline twin-cylinder configuration introduces more mechanical interaction than a conventional single-cylinder miniature engine.
During assembly and operation, builders can observe:
The result is a compact working engine with authentic mechanical motion and the distinctive operating character of an inline twin-cylinder design.
Real combustion produces real heat.
The ENGINEKITOR F2 uses a circulating water-cooling system with an integrated mechanical water pump to help manage engine temperature during operation.
When used with the complete starter setup, coolant can circulate between the engine and radiator while the engine is running.
This means the cooling system is more than a decorative feature. It becomes another functional system that builders can connect, observe and understand as part of the complete engine.
The F2 features a Single Overhead Camshaft (SOHC) design.
The camshaft controls the opening and closing of the intake and exhaust valves while remaining mechanically synchronized with the crankshaft.
During assembly, builders can directly see how several important four-stroke engine systems interact:
This exposed mechanical relationship makes the F2 particularly useful for hobbyists who want to understand how a real four-stroke engine works, rather than only watching external parts move.
The ENGINEKITOR F2 uses an electric starter motor together with a CDI electronic ignition system.
Hall sensing and spark plugs provide controlled ignition while the electric starter rotates the engine during the starting process.
The operating sequence can be understood simply as:
Fuel & Air → Compression → Spark → Combustion → Mechanical Power
The electric starter helps initiate the process, but once the engine is successfully running, combustion inside the cylinders produces the engine's mechanical motion.
Assembly is only the beginning.
Once the engine is correctly assembled and running, the F2 gives experienced builders an opportunity to explore real operating behavior, including:
The published operating range is approximately:
For experienced hobbyists, the compact engine may also serve as a foundation for custom mechanical or RC projects where suitable mounting, transmission, controls and cooling systems are provided.

A real working miniature engine gives builders the opportunity to understand how multiple mechanical systems depend on each other.
The connecting rods transfer piston movement to the crankshaft, converting reciprocating movement into rotary motion.
The SOHC system demonstrates how valve operation must remain synchronized with piston and crankshaft position throughout the four-stroke cycle.
The CDI ignition system helps demonstrate the relationship between compression, spark timing and combustion.
The circulating cooling system demonstrates why a functioning internal combustion engine needs to manage the heat generated during operation.
The F2 helps show that an engine is not one isolated mechanism. Fuel delivery, ignition, valve timing, rotating components and cooling must all work together for successful operation.
The ENGINEKITOR F2 is especially suited to:
If your goal is simply to own an engine-shaped display piece, a motorized model may be easier.
If you want to assemble, understand, start and operate a real miniature four-stroke engine, the F2 provides a much deeper mechanical experience.
Yes. The F2 is designed as a functional miniature four-stroke internal combustion engine rather than a static display model.
No. It is designed as an assembly engine kit so builders can experience and understand its internal mechanical structure.
The F2 has two cylinders arranged in an inline configuration.
Total displacement is 7.5cc, using two approximately 3.75cc cylinders.
Yes. It operates through the four-stroke cycle: intake, compression, power and exhaust.
The F2 uses a Single Overhead Camshaft, or SOHC, valve train.
It uses circulating water cooling with a mechanical water pump. The more complete starter setup also provides components used to build the external cooling circuit.
The F2 uses an electric motor starting system to crank the engine during startup.
Yes. The complete running setup uses CDI electronic ignition.
The published operating range is approximately 1,600–12,000 RPM. Actual operating behavior may vary depending on setup and conditions.
The engine itself measures approximately 103.8 × 79.6 × 92.4 mm and weighs approximately 680 g.
The published specification recommends a 7.4V 2S or 11.1V 3S battery, depending on the operating configuration.
It has potential for advanced RC and custom mechanical projects. Additional transmission, mounting, controls and related components may be required depending on the application.
The engine-only version is better suited to experienced builders who already own compatible equipment or want a custom setup. The Advanced Starter Kit is generally the more convenient choice for buyers who want a more complete tabletop running configuration.
